Description: The invention relates to a band-shaped lighting unit according to the preamble of claim 1, which is designed for attachment to a table which has a table top and a table frame, the band-shaped lighting unit having a light-emitting diode band. The invention further relates to a table with such a lighting unit according to the preamble of claim 14.
At tables there is often a desire to provide them with lighting in order to achieve a positive optical effect. This is particularly the case with standing tables that are used at events and, in addition to their function as standing tables, should also contribute to the attractive illumination of an event location. This is facilitated by the increasing spread of light-emitting diodes (LEDs), because these can now be used inexpensively and in different colors.
For example, DE 10 2010 007 285 A1 discloses a high table in which the table top and base are made of a translucent and light-conducting material. These components have depressions in which light sources such as LEDs are accommodated. In this way, lighting can be implemented at different positions of the standing table, the LEDs in particular emitting into the material of the standing table in such a way that they illuminate the entire material by means of light reflection on the component surfaces. However, this represents a relatively complex lighting, and the standing tables used must be specially designed for this application.
In a simpler form of lighting, an LED tape can be wrapped around the base of a table. Typically, such equipped tables are provided with a cover that is placed or stretched over the table so that the light from the LED strip shines through the cover. In order to achieve homogeneous illumination, an LED strip must be placed specifically. If several tables are provided with such lighting, the various LED strips should also be arranged identically on each table. If no cover is used to cover the table, the LED strip can also be viewed as a nuisance to the look of the table. This is particularly the case if an LED strip has been wrapped around the base of the table.
The object of the invention is therefore to provide a lighting for a table that enables simple and safe attachment of a lighting unit with light emitting diode strip, the lighting unit not adversely affecting the appearance of the table.
According to the invention this object is achieved by a band-shaped lighting unit according to independent claim 1. Advantageous further developments of the lighting unit result from subclaims 2-13. Furthermore, the object is achieved by an illuminated table according to independent claim 14, which has a lighting unit according to the invention. Advantageous further developments of this table with lighting unit result from claims 15-23.
It should be noted that the features listed individually in the claims can be combined with each other in any technically meaningful manner and show further embodiments of the invention. The description additionally characterizes and specifies the invention, in particular in connection with the figures.
The lighting unit according to the invention is band-shaped and designed for attachment to a table having a table top and a table frame. For this purpose, the lighting unit has a carrier strip, the surface of which is subdivided on one side into an illumination strip and at least one mounting surface. A light-emitting diode strip is attached to this lighting strip, and the lighting unit can be attached to the table top via the at least one mounting surface. The light-emitting diode band has a plurality of light-emitting diodes and is preferably designed to be flexible. Such a light-emitting diode band is also referred to as an LED stripe and can deliver light of different colors.

Patentamt In this way, the lighting unit is specially designed to be attached to the table top of a table with at least one mounting surface. The band-shaped lighting unit therefore does not have to be wrapped around a table frame, but has means for simple and secure attachment to a table top. In particular, the band-shaped lighting unit can be attached to the edge of the table top and run around it like a light strip. The light strip contributes positively to the look of the table and can be attached to each table in a controlled manner in a certain course.
Compared to simple light-emitting diode tapes with adhesive tape on the back, the light unit according to the invention has a carrier strip which is divided on one side into a light strip with a light-emitting diode strip and at least one mounting surface which is specially designed for attaching the light unit to the table. An area with light-emitting diodes and an area for attaching the lighting unit to a table are therefore formed on one side of the carrier strip. The mounting surface can be suitably designed and enables a very flexible configuration. For example, the mounting surface can be formed by a longitudinal strip made of the material of the carrier strip, which runs parallel to the light-emitting diode strip. A connection to the table can be established via this longitudinal strip, for example by attaching the longitudinal strip to the edge of the table top with an adhesive strip or a Velcro strip.
In another embodiment of the invention, a mounting surface is formed by a tab that protrudes from the lighting strip. Preferably, a number of tabs protrude from the lighting strip as a plurality of mounting surfaces. Such an embodiment can be used in particular with round table tops, because it has the advantage that the lighting unit can be placed more easily around the edge of a round table top and attached to it all around. The individual tabs can overlap when they are attached in an arc, while a continuous lengthwise strip would have to be folded several times when attached to a round table top in order to be able to be fixed in a curved manner. The tabs can have a rectangular shape. However, they can also have a trapezoidal shape, the longer base side of the trapezoid being adjacent to the lighting strip, while the shorter base side is remote from the lighting strip. If the lighting unit is attached to the edge of a round table top, the trapezoidal brackets do not have to overlap, but can lie side by side.
The LED strip can be attached to the lighting strip of the carrier strip in various ways. For example, this can be done by gluing and / or sewing. Velcro fasteners can also be used.
When sewing, seams can run alongside the light-emitting diode band and / or over the light-emitting diode band. The arrangement and / or color of the seams can be chosen so that the resulting seam pattern contributes positively to the optical appearance of the lighting unit. The seams can then be visible on the outside of the table after the lighting unit has been attached.
The LED strip can be attached directly or indirectly to the lighting strip of the carrier strip. For example, it is provided in one embodiment that the light-emitting diode band is accommodated in a transparent transparent tube. The transparent tube can be fixed to the carrier strip, as a result of which the LED strip is also indirectly attached to the carrier strip.
It can also be provided that the LED strip is attached to a strip of fleece tape, which in turn is attached to the lighting strip. The light-emitting diode band can also be connected on both sides to a fleece band, a fleece band being attached to the lighting strip. The light-emitting diode band can also be accommodated in a hose made of fleece band, which in turn is attached to the lighting strip. A fleece band can be provided with an ornamental ornament, this ornamental ornament being positioned so that it is attached

Patent office of the lighting unit on a table top is visible from the outside. This ornamental decoration also contributes positively to the optical appearance of the lighting unit.
[0016] Transparent hose and fleece band can also be combined with one another. For example, a light-emitting diode band can be attached in a transparent tube on a fleece band, which in turn is connected to the carrier strip. Even when using a transparent tube or a fleece tape, Velcro connections, gluing and / or sewing can again be used to fix the LED strip to the carrier strip.
The carrier strip can consist of different materials, which are preferably flexible, so that the carrier strip and thus the lighting unit can be bent. The carrier strip can for example consist of a textile material. In another embodiment of the invention, the carrier strip consists of a flexible plastic.
Such embodiments of a band-shaped lighting unit can be designed as a separate component that can be attached to a table in a fixed or detachable manner in various courses. However, a lighting unit can also be part of a lighting hood that can be placed on a table top of a table. A lighting hood preferably has a flat tabletop cover, on the edge of which a circumferential apron runs. The lighting unit is then connected to the apron. The light-emitting diode band of the lighting unit is preferably located on the inside of the apron.
The invention thus also includes a lighting hood with a band-shaped lighting unit according to one embodiment of the invention. The lighting hood, together with the lighting unit attached to it, is slipped over a table top like a lid, which partially or completely covers the table top. For example, the table top cover can cover the entire table top. However, the table top cover can also be a material-saving cover, which is formed, for example, from one or more strips of material that run over the table top and to which the apron of the lighting hood is attached.
The lighting unit forms with the lighting hood an independent, separate unit in the form of a table cover. The lighting hood is designed according to the shape of the table top and preferably completely surrounds the table top. It is not permanently attached to the table top and / or the table edge, but remains independent. A suitable cover (cover, blanket, cover, protective cover, protective cover) is preferably attached over this lighting hood, which is then given an illumination in a positive manner by the lighting unit.
The connection between the lighting unit and the apron of the lighting hood can be made via at least one mounting surface of the lighting unit. In such an embodiment, the lighting unit can be attached indirectly to the table top via the mounting surface and the apron. In another embodiment of the invention, the apron of the lighting hood forms the carrier strip for attaching the light-emitting diode strip. One side of the lighting hood itself then serves as a mounting surface for attaching the lighting unit to a table top.
The lighting hood can be made of a flexible or rigid material, for example a plastic film can be used. Other materials from which tablecloths are usually made can also be used. The material is preferably washable. In particular, the apron of the lighting unit can be made of transparent or other material as a receptacle for the lighting unit. It is designed so that a receptacle for the lighting unit is attached in the inner apron part. This can preferably be made as a slide-in module or in the versions described above (e.g. sewing, Velcro connection, magnetic connection, adhesive or attachment).
In one embodiment of the invention, the lighting hood is with an additional

Patent Office Chen fastening device provided. The fastening device is designed, for example, as a lashing device with a circumferential rope. Such a fastening device serves to make it more difficult to prevent the table cover from slipping or removing when closed, or to support the predetermined seating of the unit on the table top. This is also important with regard to the placement of the power supply to the lighting unit, especially in off-grid operation. In such a case, a power supply unit must be installed or accommodated close to the application. A power supply unit is installed in particular in the vicinity of the connection to the lighting unit. This minimizes line resistance. For example, the power supply unit is attached to the table frame or on the underside of the table top. A free hanging attachment is also possible.
Such a lighting hood has various advantages, particularly when used in gastronomy, the hotel industry, event management, trade fairs, etc. It can be easily, quickly and easily attached to a table and removed again. By simply removing the light unit, e.g. by pulling out, the lighting hood is easily washable. The lighting unit can then be reinserted into the receptacle just as quickly and easily, as a result of which the lighting hood can be used again. Furthermore, a table can be put into "normal operation" at any time, even without lighting, i.e. without attaching a lighting device.
The invention also allows an economical, needs-based and long use of the table cover and lighting unit. The lighting unit of the table cover is powered by battery, rechargeable battery, solar and or mains power, adapted to the requirements of using the table with the lighting unit. The invention also encompasses a table having a table top and a table frame, at least one band-shaped lighting unit with a light-emitting diode band being attached to the table. The band-shaped lighting unit is designed according to the invention so that it has a carrier strip, the surface of which is divided on one side into a lighting strip and at least one mounting surface, the light-emitting diode strip being attached to the lighting strip and the lighting unit being attached to the tabletop via the at least one mounting surface. The lighting unit is designed in particular according to one of the described embodiments.
[0026] The lighting unit can be attached to the table in various ways.
In one embodiment, it is provided, for example, that the lighting unit is part of a lighting hood that is placed on the table top of the table. The lighting hood is designed as described, with its flat table top cover resting on the table top of the table. The all-round apron with the lighting unit hangs from an edge of the table top. Even if the lighting hood rests releasably on the table or is lashed to it, it forms a table with a light unit together with the table. In another embodiment, on the other hand, it is provided that the lighting unit is connected directly to the table top via the at least one mounting surface, as a result of which a table with the lighting unit is likewise formed.
If a lighting unit is attached to the table top of a table in one of these ways, an illuminated table can thus be provided in a simple manner.
The lighting unit can be attached in a defined course in which it is fixed. The light unit has an attractive appearance, so that it does not necessarily have to be covered by a cover or tablecloth. The lighting unit itself is rather a decorative band, which enhances the look of a table not only by the lighting. An additional cover can, however, optionally be provided.
Preferably, the lighting unit runs on an edge of the table top. If it is a table with a round table top, the band-shaped lighting unit is attached to the edge of the table top, for example. In one embodiment of the invention it is

attached in such a way that the lighting strip with the LED strip hangs from an edge of the table top. The LED strip then does not run on a circumferential end face of the table top, but lies below this end face. The mounting surface or the mounting surfaces of the lighting unit can then be fixed to the peripheral end surface of the table top.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the table top has at its edge a downward bend towards the table frame, and the at least one mounting surface of the lighting unit is attached to this bend from the inside. Table tops, for example, for standing tables in the event area are often provided with such a bevel through which the edge of the table is pulled down. The lighting unit can advantageously be attached to such a fold such that the mounting surface or the mounting surfaces are attached to this fold from the inside. The mounting surfaces are covered by the fold and only the LED strip protrudes from under the fold. The mounting surfaces are preferably completely covered and not visible, which contributes to the positive visual appearance. The contact between the light unit and the table top then takes place on the side of the carrier strip on which the LED strip is also located.
The lighting unit can be fixed to the table top in various ways. For example, at least one mounting surface of the lighting unit can be attached to the table top by an adhesive connection, screw connection, Velcro connection and / or magnetic connection. Magnetic and Velcro connections have the advantage that the lighting unit can be removed from the table without damage and attached to other tables. In the case of a Velcro connection, the table must have the corresponding counterpart for the connection. In contrast, a magnetic connection can be produced in a simple manner if, for example, a mounting surface of the lighting unit is provided with a magnet and the table top consists of a magnetic material. Different types of fastening can also be combined.
The lighting unit preferably has a current source or is connected to a current source which provides energy for the light-emitting diode band. This can be a battery or a rechargeable battery. A battery or a rechargeable battery is expediently accommodated in a housing which protects the respective component. However, the lighting unit could also be connected to a power network or a power generating unit via a cable. Connection to a solar module is also possible. The lighting unit also has means for controlling the lighting unit. These can communicate with the light unit in a wired or wireless manner. A radio connection is used in particular as the wireless connection. This can, for example, be designed as a Bluetooth connection. For example, a remote control can be provided to control the light of the lighting unit. The power connection between the lighting unit and the power source can be implemented in different ways. The connection between the LED strip and the power connection is, for example, a plug connection.

Fig. 1 shows an exemplary embodiment of a table 10 according to the invention with a band-shaped lighting unit 20. The table is a standing table with a table top 11 which is mounted on a base frame 12. The underframe 12 has four vertical tubular profiles which are angled outwards towards the floor in order to form feet for the table. However, the table 10 can also be designed in other ways. For example, it can have several vertical legs or a central leg with spread legs. Furthermore, the base frame 12 can also be designed to be foldable. In particular, it can be designed X-shaped and foldable.
The table top 11 is round in the embodiment of FIG. 1, but it can also have other shapes. The lighting unit according to the invention can also be used with rectangular, polygonal or oval table tops. At its edge, the table top 11 has a circumferential bend 13, which is directed downward toward the base frame 12. The peripheral edge of the table top 11 is thus pulled down. The fold 13 can be folded at a right angle. Typically, however, as in the exemplary embodiment in FIG. 1, it is angled at an angle different from 90 °. 16 shows that the fold 13 runs at an angle alpha to the underside of the table top 11.
On the inside of the bend 13, the band-shaped lighting unit 20 is attached, the lighting unit 20 is not yet completely attached, but the process of attachment is shown. The lighting unit 20 has a light-emitting diode band 40,

Patent office which is received in a transparent tube 50.
The transparent tube 50 is attached to the carrier strip 21 together with the light-emitting diode band 40 by sewing with cross-stitches. However, this represents only an exemplary embodiment of a lighting unit and possible other configurations are described with reference to FIGS. 2 to 15.
The lighting unit 20 has a plurality of mounting surfaces in the form of tabs 23.
The lighting unit 20 is fastened to the inside of the fold 13 via these mounting surfaces 23. In the exemplary embodiment in FIG. 1, this is done by means of respective adhesive surfaces, of which one adhesive surface 30 is shown with dark hatching as an example. In addition to an adhesive connection, however, a screw connection, Velcro connection and / or magnetic connection can also be used, for example.
The light-emitting diode band 40 can be designed differently. For example, FIG. 2 shows a schematic representation of a first possible embodiment in which a plurality of light-emitting diodes (LEDs) are attached to a flexible band made of plastic and connected to one another. Two light emitting diodes are identified by the reference numbers 41 and 42. Such LED strips are well known and can be designed in a known manner by a person skilled in the art. They are flexible, can be shortened to certain lengths and connected to a power supply with a plug. A connection to a control unit that allows the LEDs to be controlled via radio is also possible.
3 schematically shows a second embodiment of an LED strip 40 ', in which individual light-emitting diode elements 44 and 45 are connected to one another via electrical connections 43, 43' and thus form a light-emitting diode strip 40 '. Each light-emitting diode element 44, 45 can have one or more LEDs. LED strips of the desired length can also be formed with such an LED strip 40 '. They are flexible and can be connected to a power supply with a plug. A connection to a control unit, which allows control of the light-emitting diode elements 44, 45 via radio, is also possible here.
Other types of light-emitting diode strips can also be used, provided that they are preferably flexible and therefore flexible so that they can be placed around a round table. A light-emitting diode band is connected to a band-shaped carrier strip to form a lighting unit which can be attached to a table. Fig. 4 shows an embodiment of such a carrier strip 21. The strip 21 is made of a flexible material such as a textile material, or it is a thin plastic strip. The thickness of the carrier strip 21 is a few millimeters, in particular approximately 0.5 to 4 mm. The surface of the carrier strip 21 is divided into at least two areas on one side. A first area is formed by an elongated lighting strip 22. The LED strip is attached to this lighting strip 22. A second area is formed by at least one mounting surface which is adjacent to the lighting strip 22. 4, several mounting surfaces are provided in the form of trapezoidal tabs, of which one tab is provided with the reference number 23 as an example. These tabs protrude from the lighting strip 22 and widen in one direction towards the lighting strip or taper in one direction away from the lighting strip.
Each tab 23 can be provided with a fastening means for fastening the carrier strip 21 to a table. For example, each tab 23 can have an adhesive surface (with a covering film) or a Velcro surface. FIG. 5 shows an embodiment with hatched adhesive surfaces, of which the adhesive surface of the tab 23 is provided with the reference number 30. However, a mounting surface can also be designed differently. For example, FIG. 6 shows a second embodiment of a carrier strip 2T with a strip-shaped mounting surface 23 ′ which extends along the lighting strip 22 and has an adhesive surface 31.
The light emitting diode band 40 can be on the lighting strip in various ways

AT16 390U1 2019-08-15 Austrian
Patent office of a carrier strip 21 are attached. For example, adhesive connections or Velcro connections come into consideration here. 7 shows, for example, a light-emitting diode strip 40 that is attached to the lighting strip 22 of a carrier strip via an adhesive surface 32. The LED strip 40 can be fixed directly to the lighting strip 22. However, it can be accommodated in a transparent tube 50 and fixed to the lighting strip 22 together with this transparent tube 50. In the embodiment of FIG. 8, such a transparent tube 50 is fastened to an adhesive surface 32 with an LED strip 40.
Additionally or alternatively, a transparent tube 50 with light-emitting diode band 40 can also be sewn onto the lighting strip 22, as provided for in the embodiment in FIG. 9. Different types of seam patterns can be used. 9, a number of cross-stitches are used as the seam 60, which run crosswise over the transparent tube 50 with the light-emitting diode band 40. 10, on the other hand, a plurality of parallel stitches are used as the seam 61, which run across the transparent tube 50 with the LED strip 40. Different stitch types can also be combined.
Furthermore, the LED strip 40 with the transparent tube 50 can be attached to a fleece strip, which in turn is connected to a carrier strip. FIG. 11 shows such a fleece band 70 on which a light-emitting diode band 40 with a transparent tube 50 is sewn on. Two seams 62 and 62 'are used, which run next to the LED strip 40 and through the transparent tube 50. The loop tape 70 can be single-colored, but it can also be provided with ornamental decorations. 12 shows an embodiment in which the fleece band 70 has ornaments 71 in the form of waves. Any other ornament can also be chosen. The ornaments 71 are preferably provided on the side of the fleece band 70 on which the LED band 40 is attached.
Velcro strips can also be provided on both sides of the LED strip.
For example, FIG. 1 shows an embodiment of such a fleece band 70. Here too, two side seams 62, 62 'are provided. The two sides of the Velcro tape can be produced by two or more Velcro tapes or a hose made of Velcro tape is formed by a Velcro tape once folded over, as is the case with the embodiment in FIG. 13. Such a double-sided fleece band can also be provided with ornaments 71, as shown by the embodiment in FIG. 14. Two different types of stitch were used for seams 60 and 61, namely cross-stitches and parallel stitches, each of which runs across the LED strip 40.
A fleece tape with light-emitting diode tape can again be fixed to a carrier strip in various ways. Again, adhesive connections, Velcro connections or sewings come into consideration. FIG. 15 shows an embodiment in which a fleece tape 70 with light-emitting diode tape 40 and transparent tube 50 is attached to the lighting strip 22 via an adhesive surface 32 in order to bind a band-shaped lighting unit 20.
A lighting unit 20 can thus be formed in different ways, the features of the described embodiments also being usefully combined with one another in some other way. For example, shapes of mounting surfaces, types of fastenings, stitch patterns of sewings and fleece tapes with and without ornaments can be combined with each other in a variety of ways.
16 shows how such a lighting unit can advantageously be attached to the fold 13 of a table top 11. The lighting unit is fastened to the inside of the fold with at least one mounting surface 23, so that the fastening cannot be seen from the outside. The lighting strip 22 with the light-emitting diode band 40, on the other hand, hangs down from the bend 13 and forms a lighting that extends around the table top and radiates outwards. However, the lighting unit could also be used as indirect lighting

Patentamt device are attached, in which the LED strip emits inwards towards the base of the table. Furthermore, the table can be covered with a cover or tablecloth in which at least partially translucent fabric hangs from the table top or is stretched. Then the light unit would shine through the fabric and illuminate the cover or tablecloth.
Another embodiment of a table according to the invention with a lighting unit is shown in the schematic side view of FIG. 17. Here, too, the table 10 has a table top 11 on a base frame 12 and can be designed like the table of the embodiment in FIG. 1. A band-shaped lighting unit 20 is also attached to the table 10, but this does not take place via a mounting surface which is firmly connected to the table top 11. Rather, the lighting unit 20 is part of a hood-shaped table cover 80, which is referred to below as a lighting hood. This lighting hood 80 is placed over the table top 11 like a cover so that it covers it. The lighting unit 20 with the LED strip 40 runs on the inside of the lighting hood. This table 10 can also be additionally covered with a cover or tablecloth, in which at least partially translucent material hangs from the table top or is stretched. Then the lighting unit 20 would shine through the fabric and illuminate the cover or tablecloth.
Covers often consist partially or even entirely of an elastic material which is stretched between the table top and another component of the table. The cover often has a length that does not reach the actual table height. By attaching to the table base, for example, the material of the cover is stretched between the table top and the table base, whereby the cover forms a smooth, partially transparent wall through which the table is illuminated with the lighting unit.
The lighting hood 80 is formed by a flat table top cover 81 and a circumferential apron 82, as can be seen in FIGS. 18 and 19. 18 shows a view from below under the lighting hood 80, from which the preferably rotating LED strip 40 can be seen. 19 shows a schematic section A-A through the lighting hood 80. The apron 82 can form a carrier strip for the lighting unit, so that the LED strip 40 can be attached to the apron 82 in one of the ways described in FIGS. 1 to 16. The inside of the apron 82 then forms the mounting surface with which the lighting unit 20 can be attached to the table 10. In another embodiment, the lighting unit 20 is designed according to one of the embodiments described for FIGS. 1 to 16 and is attached to the apron 82 with its mounting surface 23. The lighting unit 20 is then attached to the table via its mounting surface 23 and the apron 82 or the table top cover 81.
The lighting hood 80 preferably has means (not shown) for fastening it to the table top. These are in particular lashing devices such as a rope. Furthermore, the lighting unit 20 is connected to a power supply unit 90 (see FIG. 17). This is, for example, mounted on the base frame 12 or the underside of the table top and connected to the lighting unit 20 via a connecting cable 91. Such a power supply unit 90 can also include a control unit for controlling the lighting unit 20.
